Tree Planting at St Andrew’s Church, Carlingford, Co Down

Bugs Bees and Native Trees are delighted to highlight the work of the community at St Andrew’s Church of The Bush, in Carlingford in County Down. The team planted 1 common or pendunculate oak, 3 native crab apples and one specimen of the threatened native Irish Whitebeam. All trees were grown from locally sourced seed by our partners, ‘Friends of the Callan River’ in Armagh.

BBNT, Friends of the Callan Partnership Co Armagh

Bugs Bees and Native Trees are proud to have partnered with ‘Friends of the Callan’, an environmental community group in Armagh. Friends of the Callan have donated 1000 3-year old native trees, hand grown from old native trees growing within a five mile radius of their nursery. Over the last 2 weeks we’ve been busy finding homes for these trees throughout Northern Ireland and on to the Inishowen in Donegal. Thank you Friends of the Callan and a big shout out to Sean Vallely!
